Autograph letters signed from George Cruikshank to various recipients [manuscript], 1847-1867.

Not all items are autograph letters. Included are two pen drawings of Falstaff, a bill from his printer, and 2 pages of miscellaneous notes. There are sketches by Cruikshank, in pen and pencil, on the backs of the last three items. Some of the letters and sketches concern the publication of his sketches for The life of John Falstaff by R.B. Brough. Recipients: J.H. Anderson, Dudley Costello, Charles Dickens, Jabez Hogg, Charles Augustus Howell, Thomas Morson (with his reply), Thomas Joseph Pettigrew, and Henry Thomas.
